Need for Speed: Carbon, also known as NFS Carbon or NFSC, is an
Electronic Arts video game belonging to the Need for Speed series.
What starts in the city is settled in the canyons as Need for Speed
Carbon immerses you into the world's most dangerous and
adrenaline-filled form of street racing. You and your crew must race in
an all-out war for the city, risking everything to take over your
rivals' neighborhoods one block at a time. As the police turn up the
heat, the battle ultimately shifts to Carbon Canyon, where territories
and reputations can be lost on every perilous curve. Need for Speed
Carbon delivers the next generation of customization giving you the
power to design and tweak your crew's cars in every way using new
Autosculpt technology.
Some say Lambo’s latest – the Aventador – is the
most beautiful car in the world. Disagree? Then Like us on Facebook
and join our “lively” debate.
Whatever you think of the looks, you can’t argue
with the power. The Aventador’s as powerful as it is sexy. With a 6.5
liter V12 churning out nearly 700hp, the top speed of 217 mph lends
credibility to the theatrical, exotic styling.
We particularly enjoy the earsplitting shriek of
the engine at high speed; like the car’s ripping the air apart to make
its way through. It’s all very Lamborghini. Head for the freeway, and there’s almost nothing in Most Wanted that can touch the Aventador.
For a car this fast, it’s big and heavy making it surprisingly durable in a fight.
The all-wheel-drive is also great for those long
drift turns that are a Criterion Games trademark. We live for
beautiful, 200 mph drifts, so head for the hills, lay the power down and
slide through every turn.
A 911 of some kind or another has been manufactured continuously since 1963 making it the oldest sports car in the world.
The latest Carrera S is the pinnacle of almost 50 years of automotive
heritage. The 3.8 liter flat six pumping 400 horsepower through the
rear wheels is a far cry from the 128 you got with the original.
The 911’s small size, great acceleration and ace manoeuvrability make
it perfect for sudden, evasive moves. Head for the dense urban network
of Fairhaven’s Downtown area and whip it through side streets and
shortcuts to lose the cops.
The Carrera S is a true driver’s car, so recreating the handling for
Need for Speed has been a blast. It’s the fastest all-rounder in the
game and one of the most enjoyable to drive.
We have a long-standing relationship with our friends at Porsche.
We’re proud to say we’ve worked closely with them to bring you the most
fun Porsche driving experience anywhere in games.
When we think Subaru Impreza, we think speed. And mud.
The Impreza is one of our all-time favorite cars:
an off road car somehow reminiscent of the classic Lancia Delta
Integrale or the Audi Quattro. Worthy rally champions and childhood
dream cars.
Only 75 of this particular model – the Cosworth STI CS400 – were built, making it one of the most wanted cars in the world.
It’s the car’s rally heritage that sets it apart
from the pack in Most Wanted. Shake the cops with ease by getting off
the road or hitting big jumps. Make use of the excellent traction and
acceleration to dominate stunts and jump records in Autolog.
The Impreza’s unbeatable off road, but your friends
may underestimate the car’s performance on tarmac. Boasting 395hp and a
blistering 0-62 time of 3.7 seconds, the CS400 is one of the best
all-around cars in the game.
It’s particularly useful at mid to low-speeds and will drift comfortably and easily on any surface and at practically any speed.
